Job Overview

As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and optimizing content to ensure it aligns with our brand voice, supports our SEO strategy, and drives engagement and conversions. You’ll collaborate closely with writers, marketers, product teams, and designers to ensure content quality and consistency across all customer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread a wide variety of content types, including blog posts, landing pages, product copy, email campaigns, case studies, and whitepapers.
  • Ensure content quality, clarity, grammar, and tone across all materials.
  • Adhere to Google’s E-E-A-T guidelines to create credible, authoritative, and trustworthy content.
  • Optimize content for search engines (on-page SEO, keyword placement, readability).
  • Prepare content for generative engine optimization (GEO) and AI search engines like Gemini, Preplexity AI, ChatGPT, Bing AI, etc.
  • Maintain brand voice and style guidelines, ensuring consistency across all content formats.
  • Collaborate with writers and marketing team members to brainstorm new content ideas and support content planning.
  • Manage content calendars and publishing schedules in coordination with marketing campaigns.
  • Review user-facing documentation and product-related content, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
  • Analyze content performance and recommend improvements based on engagement metrics, SEO performance, and user feedback.
  • Sometimes, write completely SEO optimized blogs or other content.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-2+ years of proven experience in content editing, preferably in a B2B SaaS, WordPress, or tech environment.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience using content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or any other no-code website builder).
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Grammarly, SurferSEO, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A portfolio of published blogs, articles, or content pieces that drive traffic. (Must submit it)
  • Experience with AI-assisted writing/editing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper).
  • Understanding of SaaS business models, buyer journeys, and B2B marketing funnels.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product and design.
