Business Development – Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Business Development Intern at SubscriptionPro, a product-based software company, your primary objective will be to drive the growth and market expansion of our software products focused on subscription management and Agri-Fintech. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and build customer relationships to increase sales revenue and expand our customer base. This role requires a deep understanding of the software industry, subscription-based business models, excellent communication skills, and a track record of successful business development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify target markets, customer segments, and industry trends for SubscriptionPro’s subscription management software and Agri-Fintech products.
  • Generate high-quality leads and proactively engage potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in potential client organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team to understand the features, functionalities, and competitive advantages of SubscriptionPro’s subscription management software products.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans and initiatives to achieve or exceed sales targets for the software products by collaborating with our Sales team.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitable pricing, contract terms, and a win-win situation for both.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, compelling messaging, and sales collateral that effectively highlight the benefits of SubscriptionPro’s software products.
  • Project/Product proposal writing and apply for various organizations to onboard relevant projects
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and potential product enhancements.
  • Provide valuable market feedback and insights to the product development team to guide future software improvements and the development of new features.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field. Good to have but not must have.
  • Proven experience in business development roles within the software industry, preferably in subscription-based software products or SaaS (Software as a Service) companies. Good to have but not must have.
  • Strong knowledge of subscription-based business models and understanding of subscription management software solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven approach to business development.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, sales tools, and lead management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address customer needs effectively.
